What's new

Chimera Tool Updates

Updates on our previous Samsung MTK release:

  • added support for SAR (System As Root) models (SM-A107F, SM-A107M, SM-M017F)
  • now we save NVDATA and NVRAM during Repair IMEI & Patch Cert procedures so you can restore the phone to its pre-procedure state using the Store/Restore Backup function (if something went wrong)

  • MTK: now we can change MEID for Vivo phones with MTK SoCs (by the Repair IMEI procedure)
  • MTK: improved hosting of dynamic contents for better download experience

New features and improvements:

Xiaomi MIUI 13 support

Now the Patch IMEI procedure works on MIUI 13 for all MTK SoCs.

Pre-root is not required

It's not required anymore to pre-root your phone with Magisk to make the procedure work. But we kept the "Disable boot patching" option on the panel, so you can still use it for pre-rooted phones.

Known issues

According to our research the IMEI patch is removed after a factory reset. In a worst case it can cause the phone to unable to boot up and shows the "NV data is corrupted" error on the screen. In case of this error you must reflash the phone with a suitable firmware and the error will be gone. After that you can re-run the Patch IMEI procedure to re-establish the patching.

Added new FRP Reset and CSC Change procedures:

  • All CPUs supported
  • Works on any Android version
  • No root required
  • No test point required
  • Works with the latest security patch

Over 900 models supported from the Galaxy A/E/F/G/J/M/N/P/S/T/X series!

Added a new FRP Remove solution for OPPO phones with Qualcomm SoCs. It's available from EDL mode.

We can't provide an exact supported model list, because it's a generic solution which utilises a custom feature of the Qualcomm programmers.
Based on our current programmer database we've collected a list of the supported SoCs below. Please note: this solution might not work on every device that is equipped with the listed SoCs.

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 450
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 460
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 662
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 888

The new solution uses Oppo programmers from the official firmware packs, which are named like "prog_firehose_ddr_fwupdate.elf". If Chimera can't provide you a suitable programmer you can look inside a firmware pack and pick one manually. You can use Chimera's own Firmware Extractor (Utility) for this. Be aware that the procedure can take a long time to execute (10-15 minutes) and removing the phone during the process will make the phone unable to boot. This long process usually happens only once on a device.

You're welcome to post your experience and results to our thread on GSM-Forum. Please also share the model names for every successful procedure!

Xiaomi: new Mi Account bypass

Added a new Bypass Mi Account procedure which is available from sideload mode and you can use it to skip the Setup Wizard app on those phones.
